Hi,

I have recently moved to San Francisco and am looking to volunteer at a local aquarium.
However, I need to get some items checked off...
1. Where can I get trained in o2 administration courses?
2. Where would you suggest I can get an AAUS Dive Physical? What is involved in that physical?

Many thanks all!

Ask your aquarium. AAUS allows each establishment to control their program as a sovereign entity.
So Cal Academy of Science's scientific dive program will have different requirements than say UCSC and Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Once you know the requirements of the physical you can get them checked off by any licensed physician.

O2 Administration/First Aid can be obtained from Red Cross, DAN, and pretty much any major medical first aid training agency. Your aquarium should have recommendations, they may even have a preferred agency, since not all agencies pertain to O2 first aid for diving.

Thank you very much for your response. I will check with the aquarium.

Good luck!
