I recently saw a thread about ordering o-rings and I can't seem to find it again.

Anyway, I was thinking of ordering a lifetime supply of o-rings.

These are the ones I think I would use, do any of you experts have the O-ring sizes (and hardness) for these applications?

Thanks

  • LP hose end where it screws into first stage -
  • HP hose end where it screws into first stage
  • HP spool o-ring - the tiny ones
  • O-ring for the inside of the swivel on hose where the LP hose screws into a second stage
  • O-ring for the piston head in old sherwood first stages -- big and thin
Anything else I should order while paying for shipping??

  • Sorry not familiar with Sherwood regs.
For regular service Buna-N 70 duro is sufficient. For high 02 applications Viton should be used

For other o-rings I would suggest all the sizes used in your regs. also any other gear you have that uses o-rings. Computers, transmitters, torches, etc.

For example attached is a little cheat sheet I made for Apeks regs.

Don't forget o-rings for any dryglove system you might use.

Anyone know what o-ring would be appropriate for the suit-side ring in a Rolock 90 dryglove system? That one is pretty vulnerable when gloves are not attached.

Don't forget to get lots of 014 for tanks with yoke connections. If you rent tanks on the boat they usually have a lot of spares, but if you rent tanks on your own the boat may or may not have spares for you.

Get replacement o rings for your dive computer (and a spare battery).

WOW thanks very much for the help. I already placed the order. Don't know how many times I have changed regulator hoses etc. and re-used an o-ring that was not pristine - I hate to bug the dive shop, they make like it is a big deal sometimes..

thanks

edit that was a little late.. LOL. I should have got a bunch of those too!

I've already used a bunch of those O-rings while switching hoses, fixed an annoying fizz and just replacing O-rings that I know are old. One of my better superfluous purchases to date. Thanks for the help.
