Hi,

I am building a tool kit and was wondering what size orings are standard. I realize that some gear manurfactures will have something different that other gear manufactures. But I am sure some are fairly standard.

I do not have any exploded views or part list of my gear and want to make sure I have proper size orings for, my DIN, hoses, lights, ect....

Thanks for any direct sizes or information on where to find the sizes.

Not specific sizes, your local dive shop can get you the right sizes. But, you should have some high pressure port o-rings, some low pressure port o-rings. If you are using DIN, then a couple DIN o-rings. If you are diving with a US yoke, then you should have some tank valve o-rings. These come in 2 sizes, a thicker size and a thin size. The thick ones are found less often these days. Most newer tank valves use the thin ones. That covers most of the o-rings that you might change in the field. Some people also have tank neck o-rings. But for most people, you really should take the tank to a shop if this o-ring leaks. You might consider, though, keeping a battery/o-ring kit for your dive computer and an 0-ring kit for your dive light.

For your tank connection (yoke / DIN) I like to keep a few right on the valve cap lanyard. Quite a few times they kept things moving for me or a buddy when a ring was lost or failed at the dive site.

That Dive Rite Express chart is a good reference for the fundamentals.

Pete
