O-ring, in or out?

I carry on my camera and lenses and I check my housing and strobes in a hard case. I keep my housing o ring in all the time and have had it for 3 years. Never had any problems. Looks like there are a lot of different ways people do things.

O-ring out for me too unless for some reason I am travelling with the port off the housing. Basically you dont want the housing to be sealed. I had a little trouble opening a housing after flying once.
