PS, any version :)

and 90%....you really think so?
Yep. In fact PSE has some beginner friendly features not found on the full version. The stuff missing from PSE is mostly for print work, or so I have read in Macworld.

Sort of off topic, but I saw a demo of Lightroom II. I think most of us don't need PS CS-3 or even elements.
How does it compare in price to PSE or CS-3?

Beginner friendly is true. Yet if I have a choice, and I have them both, I would still rather open PS CS than PS Elements. ;)

Well I DL'd Lightroom and really miss some of the features that I have with PS CS. Lightroom is cool and all, but I feel I have more control of some things with PS CS.

But I have taken many, many Photoshop lessons and made it up to the advanced level, also do a lot of stuff from scratch...then again maybe I'm just don't know all the secrets of Lightroom yet...

You can get the original Lightroom for about $100. Lightroom 2.0 is out in a beta version, but isn't for sale yet.
