Today was the annual lighting of Nubble festivities at Nubble. The United Divers of NH and Finatics Dive Club did a tree dive. A tradition for the lighting. We float a tree out, submerge it and raise it just as the light house is lit up.

Not the optimal conditions for a dive. The waves really made it challenging getting in and out. As we were raising the tree, one of the floats untied and caused the tree to tilt. Without the float, it was tough to get it upright. So we abandoned any hope of floating it upright and started to tow it back in. In the process, the tree came off the base and sank.

So.. If anyone is going into Nubble soon and willing to raise the tree, please. PM me. not sure how soon will be able to get back out there to recover it.

We're interested in getting the UW LED lights back.

The tree is on way back to shore as heading from where mooring block is.

Found and recoverd today. Tree has been returned to the Finatics dive club
