I went on a nice mellow shore dive today at Old Garden Beach.

Water temp. 45deg. We swam pretty much straight out (30deg course) out over the reef to the 'desert' area where trawlers have flattened the bottom and left only a few sand dollars. We hit 50' (right at high tide)before turning back.

Visibility was 30-40' plus. Very nice dive overall, anytime the wind blows west in the winter it's always great vis which can make even a shallow shore a good time.

BTW, no bugs in sight.

Rick you and I live close to one another. We should head up to Nubble sometime for a dive this winter.

Ya, I can't wait for the CAD boat to go back in. Steve was telling me that last winter they had a day when as soon as you broke the surface you could see the outline of the Poling below, pretty nice.
