Hi there folks. I'm getting back into it now that my son wants ti get certified.
This is a day I've been waiting for!
I was PADI certified about 20 yrs ago and only have about 50 dives logged.

Are you redoing the OW class too?

Welcome!

He's 16 and wants to do his check out dives in Fla where the water will be warmer and better viz.
Any suggestions?

Key Largo is said to be good.

Come on. You’ll love diving in the Elizabeth river….

Welcome to the pond.

Key largo is nice. Plane tickets to Miami or ft Lauderdale are pretty cheap. Rental car and hotel on the other hand are pretty expensive.

Pre covid I looked into a warm water dive trip by the time everything was said and done cozumel would have been cheaper by a large margin due to hotel and rental car cost.
