So they have a message, post even if you have nothing to say. Seems to stress quantity not quality of posts. It explains a lot.

Why don't you just post the identical greeting to several dozen new people in the introductions section to boost your post count like so many others do! Sorry, that is my own separate rant.

thank you, i'm glad i'm not the only one..why does a new member need 5 people telling them one after the other that they should bookmark the site, fill out their profile, and check the site often...it's really ridiculous..how insecure do you have to be to drive your post count up by that..don't tell me they're doing it to help the new person, 1 person saying hello i can understand, 5 or even more sometimes i can't...
