Hello all!

Long-time reader of the forums, figured it's about time I start joining in.

I'm from the Carolinas originally, where I studied Marine Biology and ended up working Inland Fisheries in NC.
Got married and moved to Toronto, ON.... I have a thing for Canadian boys I guess ;)

Haven't been able to find work in my field here, so I've fallen back to my passion; diving. I was fortunate enough to have a dive shop take me under their wing, and I'm happily talking about fishes, sharks, and invertebrates all day. Total biology nerd here.

I'm looking forward to properly joining discussions, now, and meeting all you lovely people!

Welcome :D

Welcome to ScubaBoard.

Glad you're not lurking any more. It's much more fun to join in on the chatter. Biology nerds are super cool among divers. :D

I was up your way neck of the woods in late August diving Tobermory with some Canadian boys. Great wrecks there, have you had a chance to dive them?

Thanks for the warm welcomes :)

I just got back from my first Tobermory dives a couple of weeks ago... Everyone told me it was the place to go, and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Explored the infamous Forest City and Arabia on day two... fantastic! Although, I have to admit, it was probably the coldest I've ever been in my life. hahaha guess I had better get used to that around here.

Looking forward to checking out the St. Lawrence, too.

I used to say “being cold, was being unprepared” but I have been taught you can’t prepare for everything.

Thanks for the warm welcomes

You are diving dry right? Tobermory is cold at depth. :cold: You dove the Arabia...now I'm jealous. I was not diligent about logging my cold water deep dives and captain needed my logbooks so I did not do the Arabia. :depressed:

St Lawrence never disappoints. Two weeks ago, I had a chance to do a double dip on The Vickery, a wooden schooner from the 1800s.

Wanna hear all about your St Lawrence adventures after you check it out. :)
