Thanks for explaining. I suppose it feels a little bit better to know that I'm AGAIN missing out on a day of diving due to a valid reason. Not that I would question Cap'n Eric's decision. I'm just....so heartbroken! WAAAH! :crying:

This is my first year diving...I only got certified in August. Is this common for this time of year? I was getting so used to diving a couple times a week, and now I'm having to deal with this whole paradigm shift.

Have you considered. . . . shore diving?

There is this place called. . . . . Redondo Canyon

conditions suck there right now.... waves coming over the breakwall... not much fun!

LOL! Yeah yeah I know Tevis...I haven't been to Vets in a while. Charlie kinda vetoed that the last time I went, when there was some disaster on the freeway and it took me SIX HOURS to drive home. It's just a bit too far, especially on a weeknight.

Malibu is great for shore diving and is a lot closer, but frankly I'm a little tired of these dives where I can't get deeper than 25 feet. Not to mention the fact that Charlie has YET to get out on a boat dive here in SoCal, which is why we keep booking the Peace.

But since he can't take any days off work next week like he could this week and last, it appears we're not going to be getting out on a boat any time soon. So it looks like I'm going to have to try to get to Vets in the near future! Who's gonna be there next Wed?? :D

Ya know that saying that goes with any sport or hobby... "A bad day of diving is better than a good day at work"

So NOT true... enjoy the other finer things in life and go diving when the condtions are good...:14:

You, Dear LeeAnne are now a VETERAN DIVER. My sentiments exactly. It has been far too long, and yes, lets plan a beach dive to somewhere cool very soon.

Look at the Sundiver out of San Pedro, Ray is an excellent Captain, and sometimes when Ventura is a wash, San Pedro (West facing) is definitely do able.

Tell Ray and Kyaa that I sent 'cha and that you need a VETERAN DIVER deal!
