Hi,
Where are the good dive spots in the San Luis Obispo to Ventura areas? I have been driving down to L.A. County and O.C. to dive every weekend, and wouldn't mind diving up here a few times a month.

Also, anyone up for some company on a dive, let me know. I am willing to do evenings during the week and all day on the weekends.

Thanks, Rick

Thanks Phil,
I have already saved a link to shorediving.com.

I was just trying to bring out a couple divers up in this area. :1poke: Oh well, looks like it didn't work.

Although I did get a couple PM's, shy I guess.

If you're looking for dive buddies...check out the Channel Islands Divers. They meet the third Wed. of every month at Pirate's Grub and Grog (5th and Victoria), as posted on the CID Internet site.

I live in SLO, and am new to the Board here. There is some great diving up here. I am always looking for dive buddies! Drop me a line, and let me know when you are available! I am free most weekdays, and some weekends...

Hi SLOFrog,
Welcome to the SoCal section of the Board. I am open most weekends, and I can do a weekday every once in a while. I have made a commitment to dive this weekend with Sandeaters at White Point, P.V., and next weekend is the Socal Wrinkles campout and dive at Leo Carrillo(and Sunday Sandeaters dive right up the road, at stairs, from Leo). If you are available try to come down and meet some of the people from the Board. You will have a great time and get in some good dives.

As far as Northern Cal is concerned....Point Lobos State Reserve is where it's at for me. I've been diving there 3 times in the last 10 years and it's effortless beach diving if you want to call it that...lol

Who else has been diving here? I plan to go back here in March 2006.

Hey Rick:

I'll be visiting Carmel CA from Feb 15-17 and would love to dive Point Lobos--maybe Whalers Cove. Doing it midweek will make getting reservations easier. Can you take some time during the week? You or anyone you know interested in joining me?

Thanks! Gregg

Hey Schlau, Me and some of my dive buddies will be going up to Point Lobos in mid March......Whalers Cove just the best and easiest dive out there from shore!!! Gotta love it....I have done many dives there and it is one of my favorites. Have a great time when you go up...:D
