Channel Islands Dive Adventures has the Conception chartered for a 2 day photo workshop with Michael Zeigler and Todd Winner to the northern Channel Islands on Saturday/Sunday April 30 & May 1, 2016. Any multi-day trip to the northern Channel Islands is a fun adventure but to top this one off with a photo workshop is just AWESOME!
Based in Southern California, Todd Winner and Michael Zeigler have over 30 years of combined diving and underwater image-making experience. They recently created Immersed Imaging from their passion for sharing the beauty of the world’s oceans. Their focus is producing stunning video and still imagery for their clients, as well as leading both domestic and international expeditions. Whether you’re just starting your journey in underwater imagery or a seasoned shooter, Todd and Michael will help you take your craft to the next level. The plan is to board between 8:00 pm-midnight Friday, April 29th with the Conception departing at 4:00 am. Depending on weather we will try and get to the best dive sites possible starting that will work good for photography. We will focus on San Miguel, Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz and either of the three islands have plenty of excellent sites that will work good for this trip.
For this CIDA workshop, Todd and Michael will be focusing on the challenges that face photographers in their favorite locale – the Channel Islands. They will be available throughout the trip for image review and feedback, technique suggestions, and gear review. They will also hold an entertaining evening presentation where they will share their top tips for improving your photos. In addition, Samy’s Camera and Ultralight Control Systems will be donating some items for a raffle that will include a free single day trip with CIDA.
