Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) announces January 13, 2006 Guest Seminar Speaker.
January 10, 2005, Burlingame, California - Once-per-month, The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS), the oldest and most prestigious underwater photography club in the United States, possibly the world, features guest experts who speak on a variety of subjects concerning diving and photography, often accompanied by a digital, slide or multi-image presentation. The Northern California Underwater Photographic Society (NCUPS) promotes conservationism and environmental protection through the memberships shared passion in underwater photography and videography.
The next meeting will take place on January 13, 2006, at 8 p.m. and feature renowned underwater photographer Lynn Funkhouser. (LynnFunkhouser.com)
Location: New Vision United Methodist Church, 450 Chadbourne Avenue., Millbrae, CA. 94030
Cost for first-time visitors is FREE.
Diving and photography has been Lynns passion for over 30 years and as a flight attendant for TWA, her career allowed her the time and ability to photograph more life in more oceans then most of us will ever experience. Having recently retired from flying, Lynn now devotes her time to diving, photography and doing her part to save our oceans. As an environmentalist, she is committed to making a difference on this planet through her images and lectures.
NCUPS has been active since 1965, sponsoring educational events on both underwater photography and video while promoting awareness of the underwater environment and pertinent ecological issues. NCUPS serves the greater San Francisco Bay area.
