What happened to the pictures? I need to brag to my friends in Florida that I had better vis in the quarry this weekend than they had in the Gulf. PLLEEEEEESSSE

hmmm... I'll try to get the "above water" pics up tonight. I'll get with John to get the ones off his digital for underwater.

Here's some pics that John took this weekend.

I'd say about 30' vis. maybe a little more in spots.

That's pretty good for quarry diving this time of year. But the huge rainstorm yesterday I'm sure cut it down a good bit because when we dove this 'hole' 3 weeks ago, we had 50' vis.

Riddle me this Matlock.

How is it you can have a three month drought, but the night before a planned group dive in a quarry some rouge T-Storm dumps 3" of rain on it and reduces viz

All I know is that when we dove it three weeks before the vis was much better. We dove it right after a huge rainstorm and it was reduced. Same thing happens often at another local quarry.

I imagine that the "runoff" of the water and the limestone gravel dust on the ground has something to do with it.

As for how the rain happens? stuff happens.

I don't see any photos. Why is that?

I'm betting it's because where you work they block photo-sharing websites.
You should be able to see them from home.

I'll email them to you at work so you can see them.

Yay! Pictures to prove to folks I'm still diving in Alabama. Many Thanks!
