Anybody used these before? They are channel locks that have a nylon insert in the jaws.
Non-Scratch Plier

I was thinking of ordering one and seeing how well they do, but before I did, wanted to see if anyone had tried them first.

We use similar items in the aviation maintenance world......They are junk.

What model and part were you wanting to use channel locks on?
I will use them to remove the faceplates on old gauges and computers (just yesterday I put new batteries in a Suunto SME computer) but they have little legitimate use being used on an actual reg.

Look kinda like Cannon plug pliers we used in the Instrument/Autopilot shop back in my AF days. Worked fine for that purpose as you could not always get your hand around a stubborn connector.

Not planning to use them on anything specific at the moment, but you never know when something like this could come in handy.

FWIW they are not "Channel Locks" as that is a brand name, but in fact "slip joint pliers".

Knipex builds great pliers, as does Snap-on, along with other companies. Having a straight smooth faced pair of pliers can come in very handy. Creates zero clearance, with no teeth to mar the finish. See link below.
