Hi Scuba-Jay,

Provided there are no complications, once healing is complete, wound strength has substantially returned to normal and the ophthalmologist releases the patient to full physical activity, scuba would not be expected to pose any threat. The diver will want to take care to avoid mask squeeze or blunt trauma to the eyes.

This is educational only and does not constitute or imply a doctor-patient relationship. It is not medical advice to you or any other individual and should not be construed as such.
