no NAUI shops in Colorado

There are about 30 dive shops in Colorado. Two-thirds are PADI and the rest are evenly divided between SSI and SDI. None are NAUI. This just seems strange to me. Nationwide, there are more NAUI shops then either SSI or SDI. Does anybody know why there are no NAUI shops in CO?

Looking a little farther afield, there are only 5 NAUI shops in the 7 states that make up the Rocky Mountain Oysters.

That does seem strange. I know that Flatirons teaches NAUI classes, but that may be technical only, as they do seem to advertise themselves as a PADI shop.

That would fit. I see that Flatirons does list NAUI tech courses (and GUE fundies).
And the only two NAUI instructors that show up on the NAUI website are in Boulder and Golden, not far from Broomfield.

But still, only two instructors in the entire state !

I noticed that too when I came out here. It is strange.

No idea why... But disappointing.

I know this post is a couple years old, but I'd like to ask if anyone knows a good NAUI instructor in Colorado. My son is AOW certified with PADI (and is looking to go DM and instructor) but I'd like to also get him in fornt of NAUI as well. He s young in his diving career so the more good skills he learns , the better.
