I just returned from a week at FI. I thought it strange that they didnt ask us for a chamber fee this year. I talked to our DM about thier chamber and he said they haven't had it in operation since last November.
The signs around the place that pointed to the chamber have been taken down as well.
So, it appears there is now only one chamber on Roatan- Anthony's Key.
Too bad to see this one taken out of commission.

Surprised they didn't remind you to donate to the operational chamber at AKR. I think the FIBR chamber you reference has been decorative for quite some time.

If a resort asks you if you want to pitch in for the $2/day chamber donation, by all means, please do so. the fee isn't there to cover you DAN visitors, it is for the DM's and commercial Moskito Divers.

Yeah, I would think they would still collect for the AKR chamber. Last year they never really said what chamber the fee would be used for and I wasnt even sure the chamber there was operating at that time.
But, there was no mention of any chamber fee during the orientation briefing and no fee was collected or even referenced on the release we signed.
