Just returned from Cozumel where I used my Mares Super Channel fins (with spring straps I added) with my Keen Venice waterproof sandals.

The Keens are perfect for diving. They fit perfectly into my fins and provided good traction both on the ladder and while on the boat.

If wearing a complete wetsuit, regular booties hold lots of water when coming back on board whereas the Keens drain the water right off. You can wear the Keens right before and right after diving as your regular sandals. The other benefit is having to carry less gear for your trip.

A perfect solution.

I love the idea. But what do you do to keep your feet warm?

Nothing whatsoever.

I dive only "tropical waters" like Coz, Bonaire, etc..

Interesting. However, I went the other direction and took a metal food skewer, heated it red, and put a couple of holes in the bottom of my booties. Water drains very nicely.
