Anyone have any advise on a lds to get nitrox cert. I know theres a couple of shops in the area but if anyone had a person they were impressed with that would be great. Thank You.

I am doing PADI Nitrox at Columbia Scuba, http://www.columbiascuba.com/ , on 9-1. My understanding is Dan from the shop will be teaching the course. He is a good guy and has alot of experience instructing. I actually waited for the next class he was teaching. If you want more info let me know.

Celtic, padi you have 2 dives for ean. tdi if thats the right letters is just a class what is the real advantage to padi if you already dove with nitrox 2 times and just want to get certified, is the padi a better class?

Aqua,
No but the instructor is.... My understanding is that Dan is teaching that class, and he has a very good repuatation. That and hey why not grab a couple dives with the cost of the class. I was chatting about the differences between TDI and PADI in the basic section a few weeks ago and from what everyone said there is virtually no difference, just some different types of teaching. They also teach TDI there also if you are looking for a TDI class.

If you are in the Baltimore area I recommend Aquaventures in Timonium (SSI) or Divers Den in Baltimore (PADI). Avoid Scuba Hut in Glen Burnie if you have any sense of self preservation!

Sea Ventures is a good place to get cert if you don't mind the drive. Its as close as "The Dive Shop." And I think they offer it on every mon and wed, but dont quote me on it.
