Warthaug:
I'm not sure about that - we used it (I think, not so sure now) as an NO donor in our lab.

Yep because it prevents the breakdown of NO. Check the clinical pharmacology section in the PDR or on line.

Must have been a great study to sign up for!!!!

Maybe that's it. I wasn't directly involved in that project - truth be told, when they started talking about the NO project at meetings I took the opportunity to snooze. Seriously, who really cares about NO-thiol chemistry?

Any how, we wern't giving it to people (just testubes and mice). We were looking at the formation of SNO-albumin, and the possibility it could be used as a delivery vehicle for people undergoing surgury. Lead to a clinical trial (in progress), using inhaled NO during surgury. I'd tell you how's thats going, but as I said, I don't exactly stay awake during those meetings.

Wow... suddenly a reason to dive Nitrox that I like. Now I just have to gedt Nitrox certified and find the right woman!

drBill - The time for you to be breathing gezzer gas is LONG over due. To quote a cowboy saying... What I used to do all night, Now takes me all night to do once!

Another favorite I caught on the web.... "Honey, remember when my getting out of bed in the morning did not sound like a horse walking around in a room full of walnuts?"

That one just paints a picture for me.

I am game for much more study on this concept though.
