Thanks for the info guys. Yes the tanks are O2 clean and I have just used Nitrox in them. I had been renting some of their AL80s for deep diving when he told me about that. Learned something new today.

I was told by a reputable dive operator that with their compressor I could go back and forth filling my tanks with air or Nitrox, up to EAN36, without having to O2 clean because their compressor produced such clean air. I'm a bit skeptical. Is this possible?

Sure, though at the dive shop I'm familiar with, you have to ask for "clean air" and I think it's the same price as a nitrox fill. It's if you want to dive air with your nitrox tank, you have to make sure you get the 'clean' air (I've heard different names for it) so you don't have to have your tank O2 cleaned before it's okay for Nitrox. Since they can fill any nitrox percentage, it's just treated as getting a "21%" nitrox fill.
