If staying longer than 10 days you can purchase a "tank card" from Dive Friends. $175 = 15 tanks to be consumed whenever you want them. No time limit. You just show them the card each time you pick up a tank and they mark it off on the card. Works great for people who stay for extended periods but don't dive multiple tanks every day.

I've also only dived in Bonaire with the free nitrox upgrades to my week dive packages. 15 tanks would only last me 4 days on a dive vacation, perhaps longer on an extended stay. Not clear to me if the Eilat nitrox is for unlimited fills or unlimited nitrox tanks, I would guess the former with your own tank. Multiple nitrox fill cards are readily available and give a good discount, but unlimited for a year for $170 is unheard of

That's quite a bargain. Too bad I can't get that in Boynton Beach, I don't have my own tanks there yet, I would save a fortune

Same dates for us, connecting through ATL. The fat tattooed guy with a "Nativ" hat will be me! Lol

Me: the 5'8" bald guy among the group of 12 (I think)

Love it when they advertise a "free" upgrade to nitrox. Nothing is ever free and it is certainly priced into the package. Have been diving Bonaire for twenty years and saw prices go up significantly when dive op's started offering "free" upgrades to nitrox. I use a dive shop that that does not offer "free" nitrox or nitrox at all for that matter and pay $40 - $60 dollars a week less for an unlimited weekly package than I would with a shop that offers "free" nitrox.

Great news for us air breathers. Please share the name of the dive op.

Just from poking around the web for a few minutes I see these published rates for 6 days unlimited air:
Wannadive: $195 (air or nitrox)
Buddy Dive: $175 (air or nitrox)
Dive Friends Bonaire: $175 (air or nitrox)
Captain Don's Habitat: $162 (air) or $222 (nitrox)
Carib Inn: $125 (air only)

We love Carib Inn and consider it our "other local dive shop". We've purchased a lot of gear from Bruce, at competitive prices, and we enjoy having it cheerfully serviced on-island when we need it. Bruce also has some of the most modern compressors on the island. They're works of art just to look at. But they've only got the one location and it's not handy for anyone not staying nearby, especially if you're staying on the north side of downtown. They also have a limited supply of tanks. This sometimes makes it difficult to count on more than few full tanks available, especially during mid-day. On several occasions we had to wait for tanks to be refilled before we could head out for afternoon dives.

I agree with the previous observation that generally nothing is ever free. You pay less at Carib Inn because you get less. If what they offer is all you need it's a great deal. But personally I find the incremental value offered by DFB or Buddy Dive to be worth an extra $50 per week (or $8.30 per diving day.)
