Personally, I feel better after a nitrox dive. I dive nitrox exclusively at our local sites, but that's because I belong to a club and our fills are free, whether air or 32% nitrox. I did the nitrox course along with my AOW course. I'd recommend you take the course. Even if you dive shallow right now, you might decide to go on a dive vacation where the sites are a little deeper and the dives longer. If you're certified and nitrox is available, you'll be in a positiion to take advantage of the extra time underwater.
