Hi, I was wondering what people pay for nitrox. My LDS charges $10 for an aluminum 80 and $12 for high pressure fills. They go up to 40 %. This seemes kind of expensdive to me, so i want to know what everyone else pays. They bank 40% and add it to a tank then top the tank of with air to get the mix they want. Thanks for the help.

I see you are in Seattle, that isn't too unreasonable for around here, maybe a bit expensive. There are a couple shops that do annual unlimited fills: NW Sports Divers has a deal where you pay $125 and get free air and $5 nitrox for a year (and a lot of discounts on other items), and if you drop $500 that is free nitrox for a year. Cash price is $10/fill.

We have $5 to $10 fills depending on what shop you go to. Some more than 10, but haven't found any cheaper than 5.

Wow, it is a darn good promotion. $12 for AL80 & $15 for Steel. Yeah. it is always short fill.

My original LDS charges $10 for Nitrox up to 40%. They don't bank it, and it's hard to get fills on short notice. I went with the NWSD deal that dsteding describes -- all the nitrox you can eat for $500. At my current rate of diving, I'll end up having paid $5 a fill for Nitrox, and not feeling aggravated when I take a tank with 1500 psi in to be filled.
