Here's my situation: I've got a Suunto Favor which I completely hate. I can't work the buttons for the life of me, and I can't stand the tiny display. Also, I'm planning to get Nitrox certified fairly soon, so I want to get a computer that's nitrox compatable, up to 50% at least. I don't really care if it's gas-integrated or not, I can pretty well tell how long I've got left with a gauge, but I wouldn't mind having it.

I was thinking of getting one of these: Aeris Atmos 2; Suunto Cobra; Sherwood Wisdom; or Suunto Stinger.

If it's gas-integrated, I'd prefer a console mount. If not, I want one wrist mounted an a ultra-compact brass SPG.

Has anyone had any experiences with these computers? Any suggestions for what to get? I plan on getting into extended range/deco diving in a few years, so I like the ability of the Suunto Stinger to support decompression and tek gas mixes.

thanks for the help,

The stinger does not more than a vyper/gekko/cobra regarding gas mixes. They all can handle nitrox up to 50%. They are all deco computers...
Besides, the Suunto Vytec can handle Nitrox up to 100% and you can switch your gas underwater. That helps a lot if you will use a high % of nitrox as a deco gas (stage bottles and all this). So this is a bit of a rec tec computer (and if you want, you can make it hoseless AI). Therefore, it's the most advanced model in the suunto line...
Of course, there are tec computers out there too (vr3) but they are quite pricy too...

bye
