if you test the tank and it should be 32% Nitrox and the tester shows 32% then why should I calibrate it ? Or think it wrong..
If I tell you it's 32% and it should be 32% then why should you test it? Or think it wrong? Is trusting me on the analysis much more of a stretch that trusting me to hand you an analyzer that reads correctly?

KWS gave the right procedure for testing. It takes one single reading to check that the analyzer reads 20.9% in air, so the extra work needed to be more sure that you analyze correctly is negligible. Why the reluctance to do it right?

Go back two posts and read that all the other analyzers were wrong and the bank was mixed wrong... So the only way to be "sure" is to have your own ... And than stand around arguing who's reading is right... And I'm done with this thread...... Bye....

That is not what was said. I said that i was there and the gas bank was checked with mutiple analyzers , not that they dissagreed and were wrong. The key is to use a different analyzer than the shop was using. Also i at the dock the divers were checking their tanks they all got the same 32% so with multiple meters used at the shop and multiple meters used at the dock agreeing ,,the odds are that the mix is right. The other example i used was that in coz i got a 32% mix by their meter and by mine it was 30 and i later validated my meter was correct when i got stateside again.
