I live in Boston and am looking for some advice on a dive outfit that offers nitrox certification for a reasonable price. I've seen prices from $150 - $195 and thought they seemed a little steep.

Anyone have any good or bad experiences and/or insight?

Thanks in advance.

what outfit? There is an online service that is bogus and no agency recognizes them.Real cheap and worth absolutely nothing.Total rip off and still people sign up and act surprised when no one accepts the course.

If you're looking for the real thing, go Atlantic Divers or South Shore Divers... I could not make it with them due to timing constraints, so I went with East Coast Divers for a TDI Nitrox course which I would also recommend :)
If you are on the more general PADI/SDI, I would recommend United Divers or Undersea Divers. Others probably are good as well, but I have limited or no experience with them.

Anything else ? does it exists ??? ;)

Nitrox is Nitrox... all the agencies are doing similar things. I was looking for a more complete one, towards the behind the scenes theories and practice... Everyone is different, there are plenty of opportunities.

I went through Action Sports and Travel in Pittsfield MA, way out west. They are an SSI outfit.
So I guess what I am saying is if you could find an SSI dealership, their class for Nitrox is awesome.
Very in depth.
