Whats Up? I Hope everyone had a great weekend. I am looking to burn off all the jellybeans and Peeps with a night dive at some point this week. I was thinking laguna, little corona or crystal cove Maybe tues, wed or thurs. Anyone down?.. :monkeydan

I was down at Shaw's this evvening, about 5:30 pm. Wind was blowing and whitecaps out as far as I could see. Waves at Main Beach were breaking about every 6-10sec at 3-4 ft. At Shaw's it was as big, but the frequency was. According to Gordie, vis at 10 am was 10-15' with only ankle slappers, but the wind changed that.

If the wind dies down tomorrow, a buddy of mine and myself will probably do Shaw's in the early evening. If it's good, we'll do a second dive.

How about tomorrow (Tues.) night? Maybe Shaw's Cove?
Yeah that would work, although the wife would be happier if I did it Wednesday night. She has a class for her masters in SD and will be gone that night anyway. So I guess wed would be better, but if it doesnt work...I'll go tomorrow.

Unfortunately I have plans Wed. I'll be down there tomorow evening.

Laurel... what time will you and you buddy planning on arriving?

Jon... what time can you be there?

I think we were planning on about 3 pm or so for the first dive.

We dove crescent bay today. The 4:02 dive was in conditions already described and growing worse. White caps and larger swells rolling in. When we left home this moring the swell model was 1-2, tonight it is 2-3 feet and heading south from there. Visibility on the 2nd dive was 5-10 with 10 being on the generous side and little seen by the end of the dive.

Hey Pasley, do you think that Shaw's will offer some "safer" conditions than crescent?

Jon, Plan on meeting there about 6 pm, then! unless it is really downhill...maybe we can all get drinks instead?

The weather forcast calls for clear skies all day tomorrow and wind in the 5-15mph range during the day... Keep in mind they are calling for winds from the west, and that is good news for Shaws....

I would love to join you all for a night dive, but I think I need a few more dives under my belt before I take on the night.... ;) Hope conditions are good for you guys...
