That is a really nice one! I have a 28' boat I keep in Venice that I use for sperfishing. What is the best way to find spots that are good for fossil diving? Thanks

Most of the fossil beds crop up between the pier & the jetty here in Venice!

Watch your bottom finder....... Look for hard botton with lots of rubble, ledges, rock, ect.....
but most of all stay out of the sand!!!!!! unless ur looking for sand dollars... :shakehead:
I usually zoom in on the bottom of my finder... once you start and find a good spot youll know what to look for.... :mooner:

Bryan Smith found this big, beautiful Meg tooth Wednesday, May 26th!!

Nice. What are the odds that I'll find one of those on the SB Venice Fossil dive on June 12th? :idk: :shakehead:
I'll probably see more teeth around the picnic table. :D

Several of us have posted some GPS coordinates to get you started. Just use the search function in this forum "Boneyard GPS" or better yet; offer to take out a diver who's willing to share a few numbers with you and show you what contour to look for, etc.

I'm pretty sure my PM box still works!!!:eyebrow:

One of the best ways is to take someone or a group out that's been to the boneyard. I volunteer!!! Should I bring my spear gun also.
