Nice day at the Mahi today

With "The Beach" loaded with what seemed to be more instructors than clients, we hit the Mahi on schedule.
Sometimes all the pieces just seem to fall into place to capture a great moment on video.
In this case, all the planets had to align just right...the sun, the eagle ray, the diver and finally...me!
..and they did just that!



To all the divers aboard today.....Mahalo for a fun day!

I think you caught me trying to ease up as close to the Eagle Ray as I could. At one point I had the end of its tail inches in front of my mask. The big Eagle just seemed so calm.
The reason I think the shot is of me, is I can see a snorkel, and what looks to be my big clunky knife on the leg.

Epic Drew..... any tips for getting an eel to bite the dome of your lens?

Sticking the lens in his mouth is a good place to start!
or do whatever it takes to get him to try and bite your hand and just be sure to move quick and put the camera in the way.

The latter seems to work for me!
