Still waiting for our mechanic, I was ready for a dive that didn't involve three feet visibility under our boat slip. I shifted our injured outboard manually while Merry drove so we could get in some real dives at Golf Ball Reef and Haggerty's. I didn't want to risk traveling any further. The water was cold at 54° but visibility was twenty-five feet. With the great visibility, finding subjects was a snap.
I found a Thordisa bimaculata in 2005 and until today it was the only one I've found. I located two of them within the first few minutes of our dive at GBR. It was the only out-of-the-ordinary find but it made it a good day for me.
