OK, today was the third game that we covered and on this telecast I had a chance to watch some of the game. (More relaxed producer and director) The ability to wave off icing is an improvement as is the touch up on offsides. Some of the BS penalties are stupid. Sorry, the player was trying for the puck, let them play. What is this, soccer with FIFA's silly "fair play" socialist ideals????

We had several stretches where the game went for five or so minutes without a whistle. Before anyone says "It's the new rules", sorry, there were games last season like this too... (NOTE, I SAID last season, not last year.)

The shootout is the stupidest thing ever. Ties, with NO OT, were OK for Howe, Maurice Richard and Johnny Bower. QUALITY people not quantity.

I feel the same about OT in the NFL. Stupid.
