Sam is right! That was a brain fart on my part. CDM is in Newport Beach.

Actually, you are both right. Geographically CDM is in Newport Beach, but it is maintained and run by Laguna Beach.

A place you may want to try, is the La Quinta Inn in Irvine. The prices are fairly reasonable and they are located about half way between the beach and the PADI offices.

The attached image shows the locations of PADI (Blue Flag), the La Quinta Inn (Yellow Flag) and Corona del Mar Beach (Red Flag).
