A place you may want to try, is the La Quinta Inn in Irvine. The prices are fairly reasonable and they are located about half way between the beach and the PADI offices.

The attached image shows the locations of PADI (Blue Flag), the La Quinta Inn (Yellow Flag) and Corona del Mar Beach (Red Flag).

P.S. Like the previous posters have said, get a car. Because NOTHING is ever within walking distance in California.

Is this what they did with the old submarine ride? Havent been to Dinnyland in a few years...
 
You sure about this? Why would a city pay for upkeep and personnel to run another city's facility.

Also, if Laguna ran CDM, we wouldn't be able to dive wo snorkels there
