Im new to the board so I thought Id do an intro. I live in Northern Michigan and have done most of my diving in the Great Lakes with some Caribbean experience. First got my OW in 86, dove a few years, and to make a long story short, quit diving by the mid 90's. I was getting a little bold (and wanted to get old), therefore decided to pursue my first love of sailing with more intensity. I recently was in Jamaica at a Sandals (attending a wedding) and the dive master convince me to give diving another go. I thought erroneously I had an Advanced OW cert. but my mind was playing tricks on me, which it does frequently now at 57. I got so re-enthused on my first dive as an old fart that I went ahead and got my Adv. OW cert while down there! Now, Im looking for spots back in the Carib. to take a winter dive trip. Wish Id never given it up so completely and for so long.
