Hello all, I just recently got certified in november at the ripe old age of 15 and after going on five or six dives i was hooked. Having only been diving in water aorund 7 degrees celsius or 44 degrees fahrenheit I look forward to divng in summer when i can take off my wetsuit gloves and see a warm looking hand. As much as i love ot have blocks of ice for hands and feet after each dive. Just thought I would untroduce myslef while I am browsing the forums for very useful information.

Nice to make your acquaintance, cuester, and I like the way you express yourself.

Nova Scotia, oh my. I'm out in Oregon, myself. Bought a drysuit myself after my first dozen dives. Much better.

Welcome to SB.

See you in the threads,
Bryan

Welcome to the site and to the sport!

I shiver to think of you diving wet in 44 degree water. I dove 38 degree water last weekend, but I was dry - hands and all. ;) I hope you stick with it and soon discover the joys of drysuit diving!

You will have many decades of great fun. Good for you.

I dove on the HMCS Saguenay near Lunenburg Nova Scotia back in early September and the water was a frigid 45 degrees. I was just a couple yrs older than you when I started diving and have not regretted it one bit! You've got a lot of great diving ahead of you. Good luck and welcome to the board.

I'm currently not far from Nova Scotia in New Brunswick watching this snow storm out my window. Hurry up March for the Flower Gardens and May for Roatan!

Again good luck and stay warm!

Welcome to the board. I hope your diving career will be long and enjoyable, and may the lessons you learn be productive. Remember it will generally remain true that the only stupid question is one you don't ask.

Take the time to emphasize dive safety,

Doc
