Hi from a newby at 60. Am having a great time so far. Have done basic and advanced. Been in Panama City, Nassau and Key West so far.

Used to be an active caver in my younger days (not cave diving). Also collect old radios/tv's, do woodwork and leather work. In my spare time I am a computer consultant.

Your one busy guy. It sounds like cave diving might be right up your alley.
Welcome!

I'm in Birmingham, AL.

I like caving (though not as active as I used to be at all), and I like diving, but I am not, at this point, at all interested in combining the 2. From what I have read (I read the NSS cave diving manual) it is extremely equipment heavy (double redundant everything - which it should be under the circumstances - the NSS seems to take the same ultra conservative and safety first approach to this as they do to caving in general) and has a much higher level of risk. I am sure that it is very interesting though.
