That's good to hear Jeff.WannaLaguna:Thanks HeadHunter, I totally agree with you. I will definitely take my time and log as many dives as I can in between. I completely respect the water and the in depth knowledge one must have to teach this sport. I've spent allot of time on the Padi website salivating over the different specialty certification levels. I want to introduce people to the wonders of the sport and also teach them to respect our waters and the creatures that live in them (we are the visitors, respect is my message.)
What's that expression: "Take nothing, leave bubbles??"
I had another thought about you heading in that direction and becoming an instructor.
You may want to investigate into what the philosophies of each organization are. You may also find as you start to take a closer look that they have their publicly mission statements, etc. and then there is the way the diving community at large perceives them.
I'm not going to go ahead and start filling your head with my perceptions of each. I think you should read with an open mind and come up with that on your own. There are many teaching organizations our there, so be sure to look at all of them.
Once you start to formulate an informed opinion you may want to post some questions about the different organizations here on ScubaBoard. But be careful that your questions don't look like you're trolling! There is a lot of animosity between some members of different agencies, so it could easily turn into a flame war. You'll want to wear a helmet if you decide to post any questions like that!
Good luck!
Christian
P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
