hi,

i got my stinger last weekend, taking advantage of a sports fair discount and the yearly productivity prize at the place i work...

anyway, i still have to get it wet and i'm wondering if anybody uses the stinger as a daily watch. i've read some opinions about the weight of the thing but i'm really used to heavy watches and the suunto doesn't bother me at all. my concern is regarding how daily wear might affect the sensors. is this a watch designed to get some wear or should it be left in the box for "diving days" ?

thanks a lot for any help

I've got one. Worn it extensively as a watch with no adverse affects. I eventually moved it to the gear locker for "dive days" simply because of the size and weight. Most Suunot ACWs are designed to be worn like watches.

One peice of advice... make sure if you wear it as a watch for every day wear you turn off all the dive functionality. If you don't everytime you wash your hands it will kick into ACW mode and drain you battery down faster.

the question was not the same but i'm very sorry to have caused you such an annoyance.

in the future i will try to be more carefull with the questions i post.

hope this hasn't ruined your day.

regards.
