Thats Great! Congrats on the first dive. It must be absolutely freezing in those waters. I turn into a popcicle each time i go to class and it's in the 50 to 70 range. Most of the time its not to bad though, i'm just a wimp in the cold.

it was, apparently it was about 6*C in water, but you try that in a leeky, old rented semi-dry with non-fitting gloves, my feet were myt warmest part, but i loved every miniute of it as im sure you and everone else will/did.
 
Welcome to the board! And I thought it was getting cold over here . . . lol. . . water temp just dropped to 76 degrees brrr. Have a great time finishing up your class!!!
