Newbie looking to dive with experienced buddies

LA County is putting on the Rips, Rocks & Reefs program (3Rs) at Point Dume on Saturday. It is like 5 dollars and you will learn more about beach diving and assessing weather, water and wave conditions than you can imagine. (I'd go, but am sailing in a championship regatta.)

I'm seriously thinking of signing up for a boat dive to Catalina on August 16. Magician is chartered to Sports Chalet and if there is space available, Magician is a great boat. Send me a Private Message by clicking the link by my name and we can discuss the possibility. (As of now I don't have a buddy for the dive.)

vp4fun, Aren't you glad you drop on down to the local forum.... told you we enjoy diving here.
I'll throw another possible plan to think about.... so far it looks like I'll be free Saturday the 29th for morning dive(s) and I have to be in Lakewood before 4:00 pm @ the in-laws..... You free then and would care to jump on the Sundiver Express for morning dives? PM me if it looks like something you wish/can do.

+1 here for the LA County's 3R's program. Great place to learn about southern CA beach diving. $5 donation each time, and I think that they provide lunch the last time I went. They have the event at various socal beach diving locations, so you'll get to learn about a bunch of different sites.

Never Fails! Some one always finds something to pick on me about But what can i say that's why i keep comming back for more OH we are planing a dive on the 16th some where its a beach.....
