Newbie from the Northwest (USA)

I've been lurking for months & decided I'd finally better join in the fun. I've really enjoyed all the great information (and some of the questionable 'info' as well ).

I'm just getting ready to end a long period of wimpy (read: tropical, warm water) diving and head back into the cold waters of the northwest. I'm hoping to get my courage up by reading all of these inspiring posts (it's just so cold! I don't have a dry suit yet).
