Sebastain, c'mon.
There is a lot to see in Mazurian lakes. First of all fishes - you just have to look closely, cancers (they are my favorites), uw meadows and stone walls and drop outs. As most of Mazurian lakes were created by the glacier so quite a lot of them have great rock walls.
As for the vis - it depends on the time of a year and plankton’s activity. The temp - it's always cold below the thermocline - that's what thermocline is - divides warm water from cold one.
Anyway - if you decide you are not going to dive in the lakes there is not much left for you - some quarries and Baltic sea - colder than lakes.
