Newbie diver - Maui during Thanksgiving

I dove the Pride about 20 years ago...lol. Probably hasn't changed much. I dove with an insta-buddy from the east coast. They also had a DM/videographer in the water - we ran into her too often for it to be a coincidence - neither of us was buying the video.

Head back toward Maui and look for Whitetips resting in the sand flats. It's about 60'. They won't let you get too close.

Another option for escorted shore diving in the Kihei area is Maui Dreams Dive Co.

While I also like Lahaina Divers big boats for the trip back when the trades often pick up - Lahaina is 45mins. to an hour drive from Wailea. Check in is at 7AM.

There's a decent shore dive off your resort's beach. (adjacent) I'm pretty sure we rented tanks from the Grand Wailea's dive shack there.

Although a lot of dive operators will take snorkelers on their boats, keep in mind that they're going to be moored at dive sites, not snorkel sites. Vice versa for Pride of Maui, they'll moore at snorkel sites, not dive sites.
