Can anyone who owns the new Zeagle regulators (regulators
made after Apeks stopped producing them for Zeagle)
comment on how they like their reg., service, problems
etc. I am particularly interested in the Zeagle 50d and
Zeagle envoy. I am aware that there was a recall
recently on the Zeagle regs.
thanks all.

I have a bunch of them. I like them a lot. The only comment I have is that the second stage seats don't seem to last all that long (read as they need their anual service). Not that you couldn't get more than a year out of them but probably not much more.

The recall was because of a bad batch of HP seats.

All in all I like them a little better than the Apeks.

What aspects do you like regarding the regs over
the Apeks? And what type of Zeagle reg
are you talking about? Thanks Mike.

I have Zeagle FH 6's, ds4's and Zeagle Apeks FH6 and Tech 50

The second stage adjustment on the Zeagle is smooth and stays that way. The Apeks I have tends to get a little rough (gritty).

Both my Apeks breath kind of wet if you get in a funny position. My Zeagles are bone dry.

In theory the Zeagle seat is a better design although I doubt you'll nitice a difference in practice.

I think the Zeagle breaths better but that's subjective. I haven't measured them.

A side benefit for me is that Zeagle doesn't have anything to do with Aqualung because I hate aqualung.

regulators do you have Mike? thanks for your
sharing your experience. I am debating
between the Apeks atx50, Zeagle 50d, and Atomic Z1.
