Ladies and gentlemen, the New Year is coming!
For the past few years I have met with a few friends down at Rockport and done the annual New Years day Dive. The water is cold, the air is often colder...but its just alot of fun to get in the water on the first day of the year. Usually we dive off of Back Beach, and its usually a short dive, given the water temps. Then its off to one of Cape Anns restaurants to warm up and get a good meal. Not surprisingly we are often the only divers on the beach. Are there any other hardy souls out there who would like to join us? As far as I am concerned, the more the merrier!
This would also be a good chance for all the truly insane New England divers who get wet all year long to meet each other and meet some new buddies. Can you believe that there are divers around here who DON'T dive all year round! (Hey I paid $40 for that lobster permit, I am getting my moneys worth).
But seriously, if any of you folks are interested please respond. I would love to get together a large group of like-thinking cold-water diving idiots. The other plus is here is your chance to meet other new dive buddies! You can never have enough dive buddies! Worst case scenario.......you have FUN!
And remeber-----NOTHING BEATS NEW ENGLAND DIVING!
