Just a quick report on NYD conditions:

50 Degree water on the surface and at 100 ffw.
10 foot vis unless some doof who lost 19 pounds of body weight has his buoyancy messed up (because he used to be fatter) on descent and crash lands on the bottom (me).

Lots of drysuit divers in the parking lot. I do not think I saw anyone diving wet, but we didn't get there until noon. We just did a 20 minute dive to the road, over to the plane and back out.

How was Beaver Lake?

Beaver Lake was outstanding, temps about 45 degree's and vis of at least 30 feet. It may have been 40 but I've never EVER seen the water that clear before so I can't judge it accurately.

IMO it was the best diving I've done in the last 2 years, there was no comparison to it anywhere in freshwater diving. Lots of surface current however, knocked me off my rock I was on while taking off my fins.

I'd say it was worth the 5 hour drive one way, plus the money spent on motels and gas. Not cheap but worth every penny.
