Heh, that'll make 3 wrecks. In addition to the 5' deep wreck, there's the "Tofuda", a 50' sailboat about 1/2 mile offshore of the Hyatt in Kaanapali. 90' to the sand. Definitely the new wreck capitol.Wildcard:It should make for a good dive site, deep but not too deep. Cool looking boat too, was restored to look like an old whaler. And of course the sail boat in the surf that hes been there for over two years now for a five foot deep wreck dive. Lahaina could be the new wreck capitol of Hawaii!
Nah, S. Maui is whole different world than Lahaina ... a couple of tanks and landing craft, the old degaussing station wreckage and a bunch of other stuff out there littering the S. Maui area.sjspeck:4 wrecks - Don't forget the St. Anthony...
The company that did the salvage is the one I have been trying to get hooked up with. They do all kinda stuff like demolition, marine salvage/ towing, HAZMAT stuff. Offices in Anchorage, Honolulu and LA. I have a butt load of HAZMAT stuff, marine stuff, demo stuff and am licensed in CA and AK as a Paramedic. Somehow, I see my future here.Charlie99:Heh, that'll make 3 wrecks. edit: add photo of another attempted wreck, this time off of Lahaina Shores. Unfortunately for us divers, they salvaged it.
sjspeck:Get ready to smile for the tourists as they cruise by above in the subs. Doesn't that happen off Oahu now?
