Ray's is interesting, but it's the same problem I ran into when I decided to create my site - it's not always enough to know a dive exists! I wanted to know where it was and who dives, or at least which dive shops are close enough to dive it! (I will be adding the dive shops to the maps here shortly, that way you can get a nice visual proximity of the shops and wrecks, etc).
I agree. I've already added our shop (Bruno's Dive Shop) to your site and created an event - the Seahorses Shipwreck Festival, which several of the local shops will be at, including us (even though we're not listed on the appropriate page *nudge to anyone reading this*!). I like your site. If there was some option to import or sync events from our google calendar it would be even better..

I didn't want to crush any egos, sorry. I quickly looked and voiced my opinion.

Now that I realize you can click on a ship and you get some detail and a map to their location I like it much better. The cursor never gave me a finger yesterday! Could you make the cursor give me the finger so I know to click? :-)

Seriously, having all the wrecks alpha sorted does me no good if I'm going to visit a cousin on Beaver Island and I'm looking to see what there is to dive.

The cursor never gave me a finger yesterday!

Liar. The guy who you cut off in traffic yesterday gave you the finger. Trust me he was cursing.

Could you make the cursor give me the finger so I know to click? :-)

Giving you the finger right now.

Just kidding. Could not resist nor could I restrain my two year olds mentality.

I'd given a few drivers the British version of the bird on Metro Parkway before I realised that noone really knew waht I was doing!

So that's what you were doing!
I could not figure out why you were doing a poor imatation of Richard Nixon...he did it with both hands.

You beat me to it busdiver; I thought about saying the same thing - I should change the icon on my site to the finger:)

You'll be happy to know that I've started to enhance the google maps interface - the pics for the ships show up in different colors depending on their depths! Tomorrow I will try to add the pops for their names and some info just by clicking on the pics!

I will look into seeing if I can sync with google maps - they tend to keep their interfaces open!

I have finished upgrading the google maps interface - the different ships have different icons now representing their depths and when you hover over them it displays their name. Then, if you click on them, it will display some info about them and give a link to the page for that ship!

Later I will see if I can get the dive shops and charters geo tagged and load them on the page too (I will use different icons for them), that way, you can see all of the shops and charters visually mapped!

Well, I've added in the dive shops now (at least those I was able to geocode). So now they will display on the maps with different colored pins.

This is a nice site. Well done.

You may check your ship info. The Young is listed in the wrong preserve and the wrong depth. I dove it and it is about 120 feet almost under the Mac Bridge.

There is also a Wm. Young 10 miles off of Presque Isle that was orginally listed as being south of Middle Island in the Thunder Bay Underwater Preserve. I had found life saver reports of her sinking. She was a three sticker that was cut down to a two stick for barge service. Should have a load of coal on board.
